词源

据原始文献，残齿藓属的学名Forsstroemia用于纪念瑞典新教牧师、博物学家福斯特罗姆（J. E. Forsström, 1775–1824) 。他于1802年至1815年在西印度群岛中的圣巴泰勒米担任牧师，并采集标本，其中包括不少藓类植物。
